Can my existing door be automated?
Most doors can, but it depends on condition and balance. The engineer checks this on the visit and will say if a repair is needed first. A door has to be in good working order and properly balanced before it's safe to automate.
How long does installation take?
Opener repairs or adding automation to an existing door is usually done in the same visit (2–4 hours). A new door with automation needs ordering first, then is normally fitted in a day.
What type of opener do you recommend?
It depends on the door type, how often it's used and your budget. We'll talk you through belt-drive, chain-drive and other systems on the visit and recommend what suits your door.
Do automated doors have safety features?
Yes. Modern openers include auto-reverse sensors that detect obstructions, a manual release for power cuts, and rolling-code remotes that can't be cloned. We test all of it during installation.
What if my opener breaks down later?
Book an engineer visit. We'll diagnose the fault and give you clear options — a simple repair, a component replacement or, if the motor is beyond saving, a like-for-like new opener.
Can I control my garage door from my phone?
Yes. Many modern openers offer app control and monitoring. We can recommend compatible systems and set up phone control as part of the installation if you want it.
